The Ebiras are beautiful,
hard working, peace loving, family and cultural
oriented people, and at one point nationally noted
for their hospitality. Their exquisite handiworks
are featured in the British museum. However, like
so many other places around the world, Ebira people
have also had their own share of riots and
political violence. Coupled with the grossly
corrupt and incompetent government, their
hospitality and traditional roots are constantly
put to test forcing them to deviate from the old
ways at the face of abject poverty.
